BAC WATER 10ml
BACTERIOSTATIC WATER π§
Bacteriostatic Water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which acts as a preservative to help limit bacterial growth after the vial has been opened.
It is commonly used as a diluent for compatible injectable medications and laboratory preparations when their instructions specifically call for bacteriostatic water.
What makes it different?
Unlike plain sterile water, the added preservative allows certain bacteriostatic-water products to be used for multiple withdrawals when handled and stored according to the manufacturerβs directions.
Simple. Sterile. Made for dilution.
Always check the instructions for the specific product being diluted. Bacteriostatic water is not interchangeable with every type of sterile diluent and should not be used when the product instructions specify a different diluent.
